We built ReservationFinder because getting a table shouldn't be a full-time job.

It started with Monkey Bar in New York City. Weeks of refreshing Resy, checking at midnight, setting reminders to look again at lunch. The table never came. The built-in notify feature was slow, unreliable, and only covered one platform at a time.

The problem was obvious

Restaurant reservation platforms like Resy, OpenTable, Tock, and SevenRooms each have their own notification features. But they're slow, inconsistent, and siloed. If your dream restaurant uses Resy but you're also eyeing a spot on OpenTable and another on Tock, you're juggling three apps and hoping one of them actually pings you in time.

Meanwhile, cancellations happen constantly. People change plans, adjust group sizes, pick different dates. Tables open up every day at the hardest restaurants in the country. The problem isn't supply — it's that nobody tells you fast enough.

So we built a system that checks every restaurant, on every platform, every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day. When a table opens, you know within seconds. Not hours, not “sometime today” — seconds.

What we do

ReservationFinder is a monitoring and alert service. We are not a booking platform and we never will be. We don't hold tables, we don't resell reservations, and we don't ask for your login credentials. You tell us which restaurants you want, and we watch them around the clock. When availability appears, we send you an alert with a direct link to book on the restaurant's own platform.

Every 5 minutes

We check every monitored restaurant around the clock, including weekends and holidays.

4 platforms

Resy, OpenTable, Tock, and SevenRooms — one service covers them all.

Instant alerts

Email and SMS notifications the moment a table opens. Average alert time under 60 seconds.

No credentials needed

We monitor publicly available data. We never ask for or store your platform logins.

Built on real data

We don't just monitor restaurants — we publish what we find. Our Restaurant Reservation Data page shares aggregated insights from our monitoring system, updated daily:

  • Restaurant Difficulty Index — ranking the hardest-to-book restaurants by available slots per week
  • Peak cancellation times — when tables are most likely to open up
  • Platform market share — how availability breaks down across Resy, OpenTable, Tock, and SevenRooms
  • City activity rankings — where the most tables are being found

We believe in transparency. The data is free and publicly accessible — it's useful whether or not you're a paying customer.

How we think about this

Speed matters most

A table at Carbone might be open for 90 seconds. Our entire system is built around getting alerts to you as fast as physically possible.

We monitor, you book

We will never become a booking platform. Your reservation is between you and the restaurant. We just make sure you know about it.

Data should be open

The reservation data we collect benefits everyone. That's why we publish it publicly, updated daily, at no cost.
