Observed restaurant openings: September 26, 2026

Monthly monitoring report · frozen snapshot · ReservationFinder

We recorded 55,587 slot records first seen from August 27, 2026 through collection of the September 26 snapshot. The final day is partial; this is not a complete calendar-month census.

At the snapshot, 127 restaurants across 41 cities were configured as active. This does not prove complete coverage of each restaurant throughout the window. Detected openings include different dates, times and party sizes, and are not necessarily distinct physical tables.

What this snapshot can tell us

The largest detection hour was 12 AM ET, with 11,791 records. That is when our system first recorded them. Scheduled releases, monitor configuration and collection delays can all influence the peak; it is not evidence that diners cancel most often at that hour.

Restaurants and party sizes receive different monitoring coverage. A large count does not establish that a customer will receive an alert, and zero observations do not establish that a restaurant was sold out all month.

Methodology and limitations

Aggregated stored slot rows joined to restaurants and filtered by first_seen_at. Each stored row counts once; this report adds no physical-table or repeat-opening deduplication. Multiple times, dates, party sizes or experiences can describe the same table. Coverage and check frequency vary. These counts do not identify cancellations, bookings, notification delivery or the odds of an alert. Active restaurant/city counts describe configuration at the snapshot, not proven complete observation throughout the window.

The window begins at midnight UTC on 2026-08-27. Detection-hour totals use America/New_York time. The city download includes the snapshot’s top 15 city labels; it is not a complete city census. Platform totals and detection-hour totals reconcile to the same 55,587 records.

This report preserves the source snapshot. It does not refresh when monitoring data changes. Corrections should be documented with their date and reason. Counts cannot be used to compare platform performance without controlling for the monitored sample.
