The short answer
- US restaurants on Resy, OpenTable, Tock or SevenRooms, by email or text: ReservationFinder.
- Restaurants in Japan or Europe, or on Omakase or TableCheck: Table Alert lists them.
- Push alerts in an iPhone app: TableOne.
- New York City over iMessage, with optional auto-booking: TableSwap.
None of them sells tables. They tell you when a table is open and you book it, unless you turn on TableSwap's optional auto-book.

Built-in alerts on the booking platforms
Each platform also has its own alert. Keep them on; they come with the free apps but cover one platform each. Checked October 1, 2026.
- Resy Notify: push alerts in the iOS app and email. You still have to claim the table.
- OpenTable Notify Me: a push notification you tap to book. OpenTable Gold diners hear about last-minute openings earlier.
- Tock Notify: offered when the restaurant turns it on, by email and push or by an email the restaurant sends. It is not a hold.

How to choose
- Platforms: check which platform your restaurant uses, then pick an app that covers it.
- Where you eat: TableSwap is New York City only. Table Alert lists restaurants outside the US.
- How you want the alert: email, text, push or iMessage.
- How many restaurants: Table Alert and ReservationFinder price by the number you watch. TableOne and TableSwap charge one price.

Do any of these apps book the table for me?
TableSwap offers optional auto-booking, and its terms note that automated booking may not fit a platform's own terms. Table Alert, TableOne and ReservationFinder send you to the booking page and you finish the booking (checked October 1, 2026).
Which apps cover Resy, OpenTable, Tock and SevenRooms?
ReservationFinder, TableOne and Table Alert list all four. TableSwap covers Resy, OpenTable and SevenRooms, and its terms say it can add your email to Tock and SevenRooms waitlists (checked October 1, 2026).
Are built-in alerts like Resy Notify enough?
They come with the free booking apps and are worth keeping on. Each covers one platform, and an alert is not a reservation: you still have to book before someone else does.
Is there a reservation alert app for iPhone?
ReservationFinder and TableOne have iPhone apps on the App Store. We did not find a Table Alert app there. TableSwap works over iMessage (checked October 1, 2026).
